Zarasu lietuviu ir Svedu draugija ikurta 2002 m. rugpjucio
23 d. Tai nevyriausybine, nesiekianti pelno visuomenine organizacija,
jungianti Zarasu rajono bendruomenes gyventojus, kurie nuoSirdziai
bendradarbiauja ir rupinasi rySiu pletra su Svedija.
Draugijos uzdaviniai ir tikslai:
- Propaguoti ir pletoti bendradarbiavima ir rySius tarp Lietuvos
ir Svedijos;
- Rinkti ir platinti informacija apie Svedija, esamas ir galimas
bendradarbiavimo formas;
- Organizuoti seminarus, susitikimus, pazintines keliones;
- IeSkoti ekonominio ir kulturinio bendradarbiavimo partneriu;
- RuoSti ir dalyvauti bendru su Svedija projektu igyvendinime;
Draugijos veikla
Zarasu lietuviu ir Svedu draugijos nariai yra uzmezge rySiu
su ivairiom Svedu organizacijom verslo, politikos, kulturos srityse.
2000 m. birzelio menesi Svedijos KrikScioniu Demokratu partijos
nares buvo pasikvietusios Lietuvos KrikScioniu Demokratu partijos
nares dalyvauti renginyje - parodoje “Moterys aplink Baltijos
jura”. Ten dalyvavo ir dabartine draugijos nare Stase GoStautiene.
Tu paciu metu rudeni Svedijos parlamento nares Margareta Viklund
ir Ulla Britt Hugstrim padare atsakomaji vizita i Zarasus. Jos
susipazino su moteru namudiniais verslais, lankesi darbo birzoje
bei vaiku darzelyje ir po kurio laiko atsiunte parama vaiku darzeliui
– vaikiSkus klozetus.
2003 m. rugsejo menesi draugijos nare, Zarasu verslo informacijos
centro darbuotoja Danute TiSkeviciene kartu su keletu kitu Ignalinos
regiono organizaciju nariais vyko i pazintine kelione i Svedija,
kuria organizavo Svedijos Vallentuno verslo centras. Tikslas
– Ignalinos regiono imoniu bendradarbiavimas su Svedijos
smulkaus verslo imonem.
Uzsimezgusi draugyste su Svedais stiprino musu draugija, skatino
labiau dometis Siais gana toli pazengusiais Baltijos kaimynais,
palaikyti su jais rySius, skatinti ivairiu Svedu organizaciju
bendradarbiavima tarp Zarasu rajono organizaciju, imoniu, istaigu.
Ateityje draugija ketina plesti rySius su Svedais ir didinti
bendradarbiavima tarp Lietuviu ir Svedu draugiju Lietuvoje.

Zarasai Lithuanian and Swedish Society was founded on 23 August
2002. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, uniting
the people of Zarasai region who sincerely take care of co-operation
and foster the communication with Sweden.
Goals of the society:
- Stimulate and foster co-operation between Lithuania and Sweden;
- Compile and share information about Sweden, the existing
and possible forms of co-operation with it;
- Organise the seminars, meetings, and cognitive trips;
- Look for the partners for economical and cultural co-operation;
- Organise the joint projects with Sweden and participate in
them
Activity of the Society:
The members of Zarasai Lithuanian and Swedish Society have
made some useful contacts with various Swedish organisations
in the sphere of business, politics, culture.
In June 2000 the women from Swedish Christian Democratic party
invited some members from the Lithuanian Christian Democratic
party to participate in the exhibition Women Around the Baltic
Sea. The present member of the Society Stase Goštautiene
participated there too. In autumn of the same year the deputies
of the Swedish Parlament Margareta Viklund and Ulla Britt Hugstrim
made the return visit to Zarasai. They got to know about the
home trades of the women in Zarasai, visited the Zarasai labour
exchange institution and the kindergarten. After some time the
kindergarten received the support from them – the water
closets for the children.
In September 2003 the member of the Society who works in Zarasai
Business Information Centre Danute Tiškeviciene, together
with some delegates from the organisations of Ignalina region,
went to a cognitive trip to Sweden that was organised by the
Vallentun Business Centre. The objective of this trip was the
co-operation of the enterprises of Ignalina Region and the enterprises
of Sweden.
The new associations made our Society stronger, stimulated
us to get to know more about the Sweden, to cultivate the friendship
and partnership between the Lithuanians and the Swedish, to actuate
the co-operation between the Swedish organisation and enterprises
and the Lithuanian ones.
